Fantastic End of Day Bakelite Vintage Ashtray.
Bakelite fully tested and guaranteed to be authentic.

This was in need of a good cleaning when we acquired it.  We hesitated due to the original mysterious label that was still in place.  We went ahead and cleaned it, and surprisingly most of the label survived.   We have no information about the label, but it looks European, perhaps Italian.  We are not sure.

The thick colorful swirls of bakelite are fascinating.  Some of the bakelite was translucent, so gazing at the piece allows a depth and dimension one cannot enjoy with opaque end of  day bakelite.
